As we do, we do unto the Lord, as also we do for His brethren.
A Conclusion that we understand with Water Baptism, it is an outward visible sign of an inward spiritual grace. (John 17:17) Jesus prayed, "Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth."(1 Peter1:2) The sanctifying work is performed by the Holy Spirit. (Matt3:11) Also the Baptism with fire, That John the Baptist referred to as well. Our Lord has made perfect provision for us to receive these washings, so that we might be purified, sanctified in spirit and soul and body, kept blameless unto His coming.
Thank and Praise the Lord.
Thank you.
Bless you.
From Sister Catherine Atherton.Sister Catherine Athertonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16561816412984802432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160242403689204851.post-53556505347389212702017-12-02T18:51:56.447-08:002017-12-02T18:51:56.447-08:00Dear Bro Deji, this is not a Jewish practice, but ...Dear Bro Deji, this is not a Jewish practice, but a practice of the Lord Jesus that He instituted and told us we ought to do. He said we would be blessed if we do. Therefore, it is a biblical, Christian practice that should be found among all true disciples of Christ.

It is not a one-time thing. The way Jesus taught it was that once you have a bath, you are clean and don't need to take a bath again. You only need to wash your feet, because as you walk about, your feet become dirty. This can and should be done as often as the Spirit of God leads you to do so. There may be periods when He may lead you to do so before taking the Lord's supper on a routine basis, and other periods when you may not practice it for a while. Other times it may be done when there has been a disagreement or some falling out between two parties, and reconciliation has taken place. This may be implemented on such occasions as part of the reconciliation process, as the two parties humble themselves and wash one another's feet. And there are other situations, in which the Holy Spirit may lead you to practice it, as well. Let the Holy Spirit lead you and follow the example of our Lord.Lenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12499007462067501353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160242403689204851.post-42114799022353023612015-12-24T07:53:57.442-08:002015-12-24T07:53:57.442-08:00Foot washing?, I thought this was part of the thin...Foot washing?, I thought this was part of the things the Lord had already fulfilled for us. Glory be to God I read this article. If I saw two christian practicing this, I would be very skeptical about it and called them occult members, but now I know better. How often should we do this? Is it like baptism which is just once? How do we respond to people who felt it was the terrain of the Jews that called for foot washing and not in our own terrain?Ayodejihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10670116129877692517noreply@blogger.com
